The second Showcase at the Ritz was held in October, 2005 at the beach front Ritz Carlton Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. We were lucky enough to squeeze in between two hurricanes and the hotel and the staff were both excellent.

The event began with an expanded day of seminars. After a brief welcome by Bill Stroud, Richard Chudy spoke about his evolution from hand inlay to CNC. He was followed by an interesting presentation by Bill Schick on his background and experience in engraving.

After a short break for lunch in the hotel restaurant the seminar continued with a “Design Workshop” conducted by Thomas Wayne. He was followed by Marytne Bachman with a first look at a proposed new book on cue collecting called “The Art of the Cue”.

That evening was the cocktail party with an exclusive look at the best of the new cues to be displayed at the Showcase at the Ritz on Saturday.
